Reminiscence is Dreamworldgirl Zine’s Issue 03 theme! We are looking to dive into the nostalgia and nuance of summer: as you look back, what stands out? Do you remember summertime sadness, journeys back home with cultural significance, eyes glued to the television, sticky popsicles with family friends, sweet summer flings, or sunburns that hurt just as bad as they looked? The possibilities for exploration here are endless, and we want artists to send us their most personal and vulnerable interpretations of summer. Why? Because while everyone’s experience with summer is unique and different, there is a collective sentimentality that connects us all.

Reminiscence as an issue encourages aspiring contributors to reflect on past summers and how they shaped our girlhood. How did you spend your summers when you were younger? What does summer look like for you now? Most importantly, do the joys of summer go away as we get older, or does that seasonal euphoria still exist within us?
