Three ASMRtists to Watch for Whimsical Dreams

As a self-proclaimed ASMR fanatic with over a decade of watch time under my belt, I know a thing or two about curating the perfect playlist for perfect rest. And as we are in our Fantasy era, it’s only right that our dreams follow suit.
The ASMR community is one of the most creative spaces on the internet, dreaming up new and often abstract ways to lull listeners to sleep so effectively that you could practically see the“ Z's” floating above their heads. From soft whispers to in-depth cranial nerve exam roleplays, every ASMRtist truly embodies what it means to construct and dwell in a fantasy - even if the listener conks out after the first ten minutes of an hour-long video.
Certain ASMR channels dive headfirst into the pool of whimsy, forging a world that rains down tingles, trickling into tranquil springs (I really need this sentence to be whispered into a Blue Yeti mic, lowkey).
Jocie B ASMR
Jocie B has been a constant in my ASMR playlists since I started following their channel three years ago, and she was actually one of the inspirations behind this article! They often do personal attention-style roleplays, transforming into a range of mystical creatures in every video. Jocie has been a fairy, a tooth fairy (yes, there’s a difference), a mage, a mermaid and even a garden gnome. Her videos regularly feature special pampering sessions for anxiety relief and quieting the negative thoughts. One of my favourite videos of theirs highlighted healing your inner child, which was especially warm and affirming.
And that is one of the best aspects about Jocie B’s ASMR; they create their fantasy world to soothe the pressures and worries of their listeners, doing so with the brightest smile and ending every video with lots of“ besitos.”
Dreamscape ASMR
Dreamscape ASMR levels up the world of fantasy ASMR and pulls you into a cinematic experience of true whimsy.
The first video I ever watched by Dreamscape starred her as a zombie mermaid who has been watching you wander a haunted lagoon. It was eerie but incredibly relaxing.What made this video, and every single one I’ve watched since, so captivating was the time and effort put into sculpting a visual narrative. She pays special attention to lighting composition, specific camera angles, and post-editing effects, making every upload feel like a professionally produced fantasy film
By dedicating time and care to setting the scene, Dreamscape ASMR is a perfect example of how the visual and auditory, accompanied by the whimsiest of concepts, can blend seamlessly for a pleasant night’s rest.
ATMOSPHERE
If you are a fan of fantasy audiobooks and immersive narratives with consistent characters, you might want to check out ATMOSPHERE… like, right now.
Using ATMOSPHERE’s, a.k.a., Anastasia, videos to fall asleep to almost feels sacrilegious, as if in closing your eyes you’ll miss out on key parts of lore that can only be received once. Then you remember you’re on YouTube and end up replaying the same video at night, only to fall asleep at the same point every single time.
Living up to her name, Anastasia, creates an atmosphere; a feeling that goes beyond ASMR. Her YouTube channel features multiple ASMR miniseries, all from vastly different contextual settings. For example, her popular Victorian-era series features a role-playing game-style (RPG), where you quite literally walk to an old mansion with Anna, one of the main characters.
As a historical fiction fan, I was delighted to see such dedication to accuracy and a cohesive narrative. She’s won multiple short film awards for a reason; Anastasia proven that ASMR can be used as a medium that adds a unique quality to the art of storymaking.
So whether you're chasing tingles, escaping reality for an hour, or simply looking for a little more magic before bed, these ASMRtists prove that whimsy doesn't have to end when the lights go out.
