additional zine projects
Dreamworldgirl Zine is always collaborating on projects outside of our biannual zines and multimedia ventures. Right now we are spearheading two major projects in Boston: the Commonplace Zine Fest and the Date or Dash show, as well as collaborating on the Literacy Day Writing Contest. Read more below!
commonplace zine fest
The Commonplace Zine Fest is a brand new public event where creators of zines gather to sell, trade, and showcase their work, brought together by a team of Boston-based independent zines, magazines, newsletters and miscellaneous publications. We are currently fundraising for the event and just selected our 20 vendors!
date or dash
Date or Dash is a brand new collaboration brought to you by DWG and We’re Not Really Strangers. In this short-form, outdoor dating show two participants are matched together based off of their compatibility scores, and then go on a 5-minute date! These dates are guided by a playful card game filled with questions about love and personal identity.
Literacy Day Writing contest
The UN Literacy Day Writing Contest is an international competition for writers aged 8-25! Brought together by IgniteHER, Diversify Our Narrative, the United Nations Association and Dreamworldgirl Zine, this contest aims to platform youth and has an $800 reward pool that will be shared between finalists!
